Payton Elizabeth Kamleh

Payton Elizabeth was born June 17, 2010 at 3:22 pm at Gwinnett Medical Center in Lawrenceville, GA. She weighed 7 lbs, 15 oz and was 20.5 inches long. She was perfectly healthy and was able to stay in the room with us during our entire hospital stay. She was so beautiful from the moment she was born!

almost 37 weeks!

So, Tuesday I will officially be 37 weeks....and that also means that Payton will be considered 'full term' on Tuesday! I can't believe it! She could be here any day now!
Eric is home for the long memorial weekend, and we have a dr appt this afternoon.
Last week, my mom went with me to my appt, and she got to meet my wonderful nurse midwife, Jonne Sveum at Maternal Gynerations. I talked with Jonne about intermittent monitoring, and she is all for it. She is going to let me get in the jacuzzi bath in my room, bounce on the birthing ball and just walk around and move positions while I am contracting. My goal is to avoid getting an epidural....but this is my first baby, and I won't know my pain tolerance level until I get in there....so I could be dying for pain meds, who knows.
But I do know that I have several options and a very encouraging midwife and husband who are going to be there to help me get through the pain. (well hopefully eric will be there)
All of my pregnancy symptoms are still pretty much the same....I still feel blessed!
My weight gain is around 19 lbs....I kinda lost track, but I think thats where I am at. All I know is the Dr said I am doing great with my weight, and my belly is measuring right on track still.

I have my hospital bag packed, and we are going to get the carseat in the truck this weekend. :)
For mother's day, Eric got me a Vera Bradley diaper bag. But of course, I found it for much cheaper today on RueLaLa. (the super tote in Puccini) http://www.ruelala.com/invite/bkamleh If you've never been to RueLaLa.....definitely check it out. Once you join, you get access to all their weekly deals, and then for every person you invite that makes a purchase, you get $10!

We are so ready to meet our little girl...more updates to come.

32 weeks!

So, we have had a friend of ours trying to persuade us to let her take some maternity pics for some time now. We finally decided that it was something we wanted to do....if only to be able to show our little girl one day. I was very hesitant about letting her take pictures of my belly. And I am not a big fan of most maternity pics you find on the internet. But, Jaymie listened to how I felt and made me feel extremely comfortable.
I couldn't be happier with how the pictures turned out, and I haven't seen them all yet.

The picture above is Payton's bedding, that my wonderful mother made....and the outfit that Payton will wear home from the hospital. The blanket folded next to the outfit was what I was wrapped up in when I left the hospital in 1982. (one good thing about my mother being a pack rat)
Here are a couple more pictures...hope you like them.

30 Weeks!

This was me at almost 29 weeks.
How far along? 30 weeks and 2 days - less than 10 weeks to go!

Total weight gain/loss: Total weight gain as of my last dr appt was 11 lbs. ( I had gained 4 lbs in a month at my last appt....which is definitely the most I have gained so far...but Dr said it is to be expected and he says I am right where I should be) I had lost 6 in the beginning....so I have gained that back plus 5 lbs.
Stretch marks? A few are showing their faces....very depressing!

Sleep: It is getting harder and harder. I woke up at 4 am yesterday morning and couldn't go back to sleep....lovely.

Best moment this week: I found out on Monday that my Gestational Diabetes test results came back completely normal!

Food cravings: Schlotzskys....and any toasted sub lately.

Gender: GIRL!

Labor Signs: None at all and hopefully not for a long time!

Belly Button in or out? In

What I miss: laying on my belly or my back!

What I am looking forward to: Our first baby shower next weekend in Tennessee!! AND we have a photographer coming over next week to take pics of us in the nursery...I hope they turn out okay.

Weekly Wisdom: Don't take on too much when you're pregnant. This week is a little overwhelming!

25 Weeks!

How far along? 25 weeks and 3 days

Total weight gain/loss: Total weight gain as of my last dr appt was 7 lbs.
I had lost 6 in the beginning....so I have gained that back plus 1 lb. My belly measured exactly 24 cm at my 24 week appt....so Dr says I am right on track! :)

Stretch marks? None...and hopefully it will stay that way!

Sleep: It is getting harder and harder. I wake up a TON to go to the bathroom and find it is only getting harder to fall back asleep.

Best moment this week: She had the hiccups for the first time...or at least the first time I could feel it!

Food cravings: My sweet tooth is back in full effect! I got a reese's sonic blast the other day...heaven!!

Gender: GIRL!
Labor Signs: None at all and hopefully not for a long time!

What I miss: A glass of wine with dinner....I know some pregnant women do it, but I just feel too guilty. I even ordered a glass on our anniversary back in January and didn't drink a sip.

What I am looking forward to: Warm weather!!! It's been such a cold winter and I'm over it. Spring also makes it feel so much closer to June 22 when we meet her.

Weekly Wisdom: Stay hydrated! I feel so much better when I drink enough water....and it helps minimize my headaches.

Milestones: We are really coming along with the nursery!!! I will post pics very soon.

2010...What will the new year bring?

A baby girl!! Payton Elizabeth Kamleh is due to arrive June 22nd, and Eric and I couldn't be more excited. I am almost at 20 weeks(half way) and it has already gone by so fast....so I am sure she will be here in no time! Hopefully....for 2 reasons. Not only am I dying to meet her....but the sooner she gets here, the sooner Eric will be home, and he hasn't even left yet.

He is starting tech school Feb 22nd and will be in class for 6 months. It is going to be hard for Eric and I, but I know the anticipation of meeting our little girl will help us get through it.

Eric and I are no strangers to long distance...so I think that will help us too. When we first stated dating, we were 4 hours apart...and then when I moved back home after college, we were 6 hours apart. So...6-7 hours apart for 6 months shouldn't be too hard. He will be able to come home as often as his schoolwork allows and will get every other Friday off...so that's good.
We are having some friends over this weekend to help wish him farewell and then his parents are coming down next weekend.

Here is a glimpse of our little girl at 17 weeks....the dr said she might be a gymnast one day....

God Bless America

Here is a family shot from 4th of July weekend.....We celebrated at Kathryn's on Sunday, the 5th with a cookout! On the 3rd we all went to a park in Suwanee and watched an awesome fireworks show after a really great performance by a Beatles cover band. On the 4th Eric and I joined Amanda, Goof, Ali, Pete and Nancy for dinner at a mexican restaurant nearby and then Eric and I sat on our roof and watched more fireworks. I love the feeling of patriotism and love for our country that I get on Independence Day. God Bless America!

This past weekend, we spent camping on the Raven Fork River in Cherokee, NC. We had such a fun weekend.....we went tubing, (eric went midnight tubing too), biking, danced all night saturday to the Clayborn Band http://claybornband.shutterfly.com , and I even sang a solo.... 'You really got a hold on me' done originally by Smokey Robinson and the Miracles. It was so much fun singing and before I could even start, the dance floor was packed full of dancers....it was really a great crowd.

This is a little clip of my niece Ali enjoying the music saturday night....
