anna belle clayborn

So....I have been working from home now over a month....and it is wonderful! I never thought I would enjoy it as much as I do. It is so much easier to clean the house and do laundry on my lunch break or when I get done working....rather than once I get home at night after a long day. My house has definitely stayed a whole lot tidier and Eric has noticed how less stressed I have been lately. One of the best parts has to be...getting to see my niece Ali every day on Amanda and I's lunch walks through the neighborhood. She has no hair yet, but the prettiest complexion...and since she has such flawless skin ....the first thing you see when you look at her are her big blue eyes. I love her to pieces. Well....my brother, Cary's wife had a baby girl on 8/8/08 named Anna Belle! She is gourgeous too and here's a couple pics from the weekend she was born....

And here's Ali's baby blues...

Counting our blessings

Eric and I have gone through alot of changes in the past couple of months....Eric lost his job in the middle of June, and he graduated from the Aviation Institute of Maintenance July 17th. His former employee did away with his position and it all worked out....because it gave him more time to study and focus on school and prepare for graduation. Well, right after he graduates...and on our way to North Carolina this past weekend (Friday July 18th) we got in a car accident. Eric was driving "my" 2007 Avalanche, my cousin Ryan was in the front seat, and I was in the back. Ryan and I weren't wearing our seatbelts, but amazingly didn't get hurt. An elderly lady pulled out in front of us in a Chevy Lumina and stopped in the middle of the road.....so we hit her and then went down into a ditch. My dog, Rigley was in the back of the truck in his cage....and was scared to death, as you can imagine.

We didn't let that stop us and ended up still going to North Carolina, partly b/c Eric's family were already there from Knoxville, waiting for us.....and we figured we didn't want it to ruin our whole weekend. So, I am in a rental car now and we are waiting to hear if the truck is totaled or if it will be fixed.

Yesterday, my boss came in my office and told me I will be working from home starting next week......so I am super excited. I have been praying for this since February....and what great timing this is! :)

This is a picture of us after the accident....counting our blessings!!

no one like HIM

So...I am one of 5 girls who share in a weekly bible study at my work, every Wednesday during lunch. It is a time for us to share with eachother and leave all of her stresses in our office and just focus on the Lord. I am so fortunate to be able to have this time (during work) to come to Him in the first place....and so fortunate to have such a wonderful and Godly man as a boss, Chip Milner. Well, we are on our 2nd week in the study, John 3:16 by Max Lucado. This week focuses on Isaiah 40:18-31. "To discover that God is in the midst of every detail of life-no matter how small-and to commit to trusting him in every situation."

I think we all struggle with this....I know I do. So many non believers want tangible proof that there is a God. And truthfully...so many "believers" do too. Here are a few verses that identify the proof that He exists....Psalm 19:1, Psalm 74:16, Psalm 90:2, Isaiah 46:9, John 5:26.

This has brought me to a current struggle Eric and I are dealing with.....his last day of class is tomorrow from Aircraft Institute of Maintenance....where he is finishing his Technical Engineer certification. Well, a new degree=a new job, and he has been offered a job out of state. Me, being someone who likes to control situations and always plan everything out.....I have had a hard time trusting that the Lord will take care of this. And the Lord knows me so well....b/c he has shown me Eric's patience and trust every day. Eric really does amaze me at how trusting he is that everything will work out.....and that the Lord will provide for us. He teaches me so much.

I pray that Eric and I will give this over to the Lord daily and that I will trust the Lord to lead us in the right direction.

Since he has no needs, you cannot tire him.
Since he is without age, you cannot lose him.
Since he has no sin, you cannot corrupt him.

a year has passed

Well, it is so hard to believe that an entire year has passed since Eric and I said "I Do." The past year has been so exciting, and full of newlywed bliss. We just had the great joy of getting away this past weekend and we cleared our minds with rest and relaxation in the beautiful north GA mountains, in Helen, Ga. It is amazing what a weekend, free of stress, can do for your soul. All Eric and I can do is thank God for all of our wonderful blessings this past year. We look to Him more and more for daily advice and He continually shows us his unconditional love for us. Eric will be starting AIM Februaury 22nd, which is the Aircraft Institute of Maintenance, at Briscoe Field in Lawrenceville, GA. We are both very excited about this opportunity and ask that you keep Eric in your prayers as he takes on this challenge. Thanks for all of your love, prayers, and support.

We both look forward to what this new year brings....
